Georgia State Bill 351--Parent Pro Tech Resources

Georgia Senate Bill 351 was enacted to protect Georgia’s children by promoting safe and appropriate technology use and ensuring students develop the skills necessary to become responsible digital citizens. To support districts in meeting this requirement, the State of Georgia has partnered with Parent ProTech to provide lessons aligned to the instructional standards of SB 351. Completion of these lessons will allow the district to verify compliance with the law.
SCCPSS Implementation Details & Scheduling Guidance:
· Required Lessons: 3 Parent ProTech student lessons
· Supporting Resources: Videos and instructional materials · Location: Parent ProTech Onedrive Folder
· Completion Deadline: No later than March 13, 2026
Schools may deliver the lessons during any of the following, based on site feasibility:
· Homeroom (HR)
· Advisement
· Instructional Focus / Intervention Period

1. Our school scheduled and delivered all three lessons during Middle School Media Time.
2. Instruction was completed by February 27, 2026.
3. Students have access to the lessons in the Bright Space: NHK8 Learning Commons for Students.

Lesson 2: Trust Issues: February 9-February 13
Lesson 3: Social Media Influences: Friendship and Body Image: February 23-27
