Free public library resources are available at your local library and online anytime from home or school.
How does the Student PLAY program work?
Student PLAY gives public school students free access to public library resources and services.
- Students use their student/lunch number just like a library card.

About Student PLAY
The PINES Library Access for Youth (PLAY) program gives students free access to public library materials and online resources to help them succeed in school. Live Oak Public Libraries partners with local public school systems to provide the PLAY program.
- Access your free public library account based on your student number.
- Check out online resources, use computers, and borrow books - with no overdue fines.
- Achieve academic success inside and outside of the classroom.
- Connect to free tutoring, homework help, literacy tools, college prep, and job readiness.
The PLAY program is currently available to all Pre-K through 12th grade students in Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, Effingham County Schools, and Liberty County School System.
Use your PLAY account like a library card to check out books and access e-resources!
PLAY account example: SAV1234567
School district (SAV, EFF, or LCS) and student/lunch number. All capital letters, no spaces.
PLAY password/PIN example: 042006 Student birth month and year (MMYYYY), no spaces.
Some e-resources require a free account. Use an email and password of your choice. When asked for library card, use your PLAY account.
Some e-resources require GALILEO access. When asked for library card, use PLAY account/password.
